Our Story
Our journey began in the narrow lanes of India's oldest craft clusters — from the Zardozi ateliers of Lucknow to the Banarasi loom villages along the Ganges, from the Gota Patti artisans of Rajasthan to the master embroiderers of Surat.
Every Raagwaas creation carries the fingerprints of these communities — their patience, their pride, and their irreplaceable skill. We walk the fine line between heritage and haute couture, honouring age-old techniques while crafting silhouettes that belong to today's woman.

The Beginning — 17 December 2022
Raagwaas unveiled its vision in the Oberoi Ballroom — a space whose grandeur echoed the creations it carried within. The launch was not merely a debut; it was a tribute to Indian bridal grandeur and a declaration that Indian craftsmanship deserves its place on the world stage.
That defining evening marked Raagwaas as a global torchbearer of the celebrated Surya legacy — a name synonymous with integrity, intricacy and inspiration in Indian fashion for over three decades.
The Visionary
Raagwaas was born out of a love for Indian classical music — a hope to reflect its harmony and depth in the bespoke designs that adorn a bride on her wedding day. The inspiration: a father with more than thirty years spent alongside craftsmen and artisans across India.
Raagwaas is a place for nurturing craftsmen and their craft — woven into the fabric of timeless fashion to celebrate the bride in her fullest glory.

India's textile heritage spans thousands of years and hundreds of distinct traditions. Raagwaas is a proud custodian of six of the most exquisite — each a living art form kept alive by the hands of our artisans.
Gold and silver wire embroidery once reserved for Mughal royalty. Each motif is hand-coiled by master karigars over weeks of meticulous work.
Sacred loom-woven silk from the banks of the Ganges. Intricate brocade patterns passed down through generations of weaver families.
